Urban Solutions’ 2 Blocks of Art takes place on Sixth Street between Market and Howard. The art walk showcases a neighborhood rich in culture and well known for its cutting edge arts community. Last year, musicians played in a Laundromat and a fashion designer exhibited in an optometry office - this event is truly unique!
2 Blocks of Art is bookended by the well-known Luggage Store gallery at one end, and 1st Amendment gallery (1AM) at the other. Approximately 75 artists exhibit in 25 locations – all within 2 blocks!
The art walk is FREE and no purchase is required for viewing the shows!The restaurants, bars, nightclubs and theaters along
Sixth Street will also offer discounted food, drinks and admission prices to
after-party events.
2 BLOCKS OF ART is produced by Urban Solutions and made
possible with support from the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency, San
Francisco Arts Commission Cultural Equity Grants Program, and neighborhood and
local corporations. Special thanks to community partner Bindlestiff Studio,
which is celebrating their grand opening on Sixth Street this year.
